Often overlooked among the early Cuban baseball Pioneers (He Debuted in 1912), Mike Gonzalez was one of the most significant with the longest tenure in the game. A true ambassador, he spent nearly his entire life promoting the game of Baseball between the United States and Cuba. He was also one of the first Cubans to come over to the United States and perform well for a Major league Team.
