1919 Posed photograph in uniform at the ballpark of New York Giants slugger (and former triple crown winner) Heinie Zimmerman. While the photo itself is a fine example, it is the caption on the back that gives some incredible context to the image as it mentions he was "mixed up in baseball scandal." This refers to the famous Black Sox scandal from the 1919 World Series for which Zimmerman was accused of being part of the bribery of the players along with Hal Chase. Issued by George Grantham Bain and stamped on the back.
