1911 Silver Gelatin Photo (uniform style and hat are definitively from this season) of Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson at the ballpark. Mathewson was the idol of most American Boys and this photo presents a beautiful profile style image with incredible clarity and quality. Stamped on the back and despite a few slight bends, the photo is in overall nice condition. This is the only example of this photograph known in the hobby and it is stamped on the back from the American Press Association. We originally sold this image in 2014 for $1700+.
