Dave Shean was not the best player in the world, but he packed a ton of accomplishments and fame into what he did. A member of seven teams in nine seasons, he was pictured in most of the baseball card sets of the era and his name is well known among collectors. A career .228 hitter, he was a wiz in the field which allowed him to rack up over 2400 at bats in the major leagues and a World Series championship with the Red Sox in 1918. The offered photograph captures him in 1911 with the Cubs wearing a rare uniform style and bending down to field a ball. Silver gelatin original is a unique new discovery that is being offered here for the first time ever!
