Incredible 1927 posed photograph at the ballpark of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig as they stand in their iconic "Bustin' Babes" and "Larrupin' Lous" uniforms for the first time ever (at Yankee Stadium) along with other members of the tour. While most of the images from this tour are action images, snapshots from fans, or playful photos, this is a posed shot along with the man who put the tour together, Christy Walsh as the tour was first being announced to the public. An important piece of photography that pre-dates a single game Ruth and Gehrig played in, this was issued by Underwood and Underwood and bears a stamp and a full paper caption on the back as well. This is one of the finest images of Ruth and Gehrig from 1927 we have offered and it is a true piece of baseball history as the most important barnstorming tour was first being announced!
