Lot Description  

Vintage c. 1958 photograph of football pioneer Fritz Pollard as he was honored as one of the first great black athletes in American history. From Pollard's estate and in great shape, the photo is blank backed but can be dated somewhat by the presence of President Dwight Eisenhower's portrait on the wall! One of the only images of Fritz Pollard we have ever offered and it looks great!
