1903 Rare photograph of President Theodore Roosevelt as he drove through a massive tree in the Redwood Forrest's of California. Called the Wawona tree, this was in the Mariposa grove in Yosemite National Park and this is the only vintage example of this photograph we have ever seen, from the archives of Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back. The stamp appears to date this to about 1912 but it could have been added afterwards. We will call this a Vintage 2 example to be safe, but the paper and photographic style used is consistent with c. 1910 photography!
