Vintage c. 1862 CDV photograph of President Abraham Lincoln in one of his most famous studio sessions. This is from the collection of famous historian Frederick Meserve and it was likely done (off the original negative) around 1900-1910. It eventually made it's way to the archives of Good Housekeeping Magazine and was used in publication in the 1940's. Most Lincoln images, even the vintage examples, were off duplicate negatives with this one being exceptionally clear and from a prominent collection.
