Fantastic 1928 group photograph of the pitching staff of the St. Louis Cardinals as they headed into the World Series against the New York Yankees. Led by Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander (sitting with dark jacket), this is a really cool piece of photography issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. There are two small corner chips on the right, but overall the photo presents beautifully and especially in this large format.
