If you were to go back and visit America about 1925 when this photograph was produced, you would have found the biggest dance craze to be the "Shimmy" and the inventor of the dance, Gilda Grey, would have been one of the biggest names in the world. The offered photograph not only pictures Grey at the height of her career, but the paper caption on the back also mentions one of the earliest dance crazes in history by name! The photo also doubles as an early pin-up with Grey wearing a tight bathing suit which was pretty seductive for the time! One of the only images of Gilda Grey we have seen and in great shape, issued by Wide World Photos and with a paper caption on the back as well.
