An interesting side note to the story of Babe Ruth is that he was quite a tuba player from his time at St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys. This photograph, taken in 1920 during his first year with the New York Yankees, shows off Ruth's musical side as he takes a second to play the instrument in full uniform and even with his glove hanging off to the side. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, this is a rare Type 1 (PSA encapsulated) that we have never seen before and is being offered here for the first time ever! The photo has some pinholes from editorial use but otherwise presents pretty well.
