Lost in the history of baseball is the name Moose Clabaugh, but for a short time in 1926, he was the worlds greatest slugger, belting 62 home runs in the Texas League. He was a huge man for his day, and could hit for average too. He would have been a star in the big leagues, but he was an awful fielder. Images of this legendary figure in baseball history are extremely rare with this one being the first and only example we have ever seen. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption which mentions his incredible record!
