Extremely rare DATED June 11, 1938 photograph of Cincinnati Reds pitcher Johnny Vander Meer issued the day he pitched his first of two consecutive no-hitters. While images of the pitcher are easy to find after he became a legend (four days later) but images from his first no-hitter are quite scarce! This one was issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well and it displays great with a small rip on the upper right corner.
