Lot Description  

Large c. 1918 statuesque fielding photograph of Hall of Famer Dave Bancroft in uniform with the New York Giants. Taken by noted photographer Charles Conlon, this is his finest image we have ever offered and it presents beautifully with one small set of corner chips being the only flaw. The image is one of his most famous ever taken and it was used by Baseball Magazine to make Bancroft's card/premium for their M114 set!
