Walter Barbare was a well known veteran who ended playing from 1914-1922 with three teams and had some good years as well as some really bad ones. Two years he bat over .300 and two years he batted under .200. While he varied wildly, he was popular among his teammates and had a long and productive career. The offered profile photograph is from his first full season in the big leagues (1915) and captures a young man trying to make a name for himself playing the game he loved. Condition and quality are both quite nice and this is a unique new discovery!
