Despite his size, the talent of Hack Wilson was undeniable. It would take a trade to the Chicago Cubs and an opportunity to play every day to see the talent turn into consistent play. Hack Wilson achieved this in 1926, the year this photo was issued. Interesting that the paper caption on the back notes that he will "play every day" and that he did! He would lead the league in Home Runs in 1926 on his way to Cooperstown (and probably the drinking hall of fame as well). One of the earliest images of Wilson that you will find and certainly the earliest in a Chicago Cubs uniform. Pictures with fellow Cubs pint sized star Earl Adams, the photo is in nice shape with a full paper caption from Acme on the back. Condition is nice with a couple of light pinholes.
