There was something different about the 1927 New York Yankees. Even after losing the World Series the previous year, it seemed that this team was just better than everyone else and it was evident from the beginning of Spring Training. Here we see a triumvirate of Hall of Famers that represent the brain trust of the team as they pose together in St. Petersburg before the start of the iconic season in which they would receive the mantle of "Best Team Ever." Owner Jacob Ruppert stands at left with manager Miller Huggins in the center and the man who built the team Ed Barrow dominates the image at the right. This is one of the only images of the three men together we have ever seen and this is a unique snapshot that is being offered here for the first time ever!
