Exceedingly scarce image from one of the most famous seasons of the 20th century. The Miracle Braves played the Philadelphia Athletics, with the Braves sweeping the A's in 4 straight games. Pictured in this image is a great shot of what appears to be a pick-off attempt with Eddie Collins getting back to first base before Butch Schmidt could apply the tag. I am unsure who the Philadelphia A's first base coach was but he is also prominently in the shot. Back exhibits period stamp stating "Collins Safe At First in First Inning" along with an October, 1914 stamp date. Really nice condition with only minimal wear.
