Great original Louis Van Oeyen image of "The Giant Killer" Harry Covaleski for the Detroit Tigers. It is difficult to see in the image of the back but there is a 1914 date stamp on back, which also happens to be his first season with the Tigers. Covaleski was about to embark upon the best three seasons of his career, three straight 20 win seasons (the only ones of his career). Louis Van Oeyen is largely regarded as one of the greatest of baseball photographers of all time, his images were often unique in their makeup and poses. Some minor creasing and lower left corner rip, but overall image remains unaffected. Back has original Van Oeyen stamp to go along with the notations and file stamp.
