1927 Horizontal action photo of the famed "Long Count Fight" between Gene Tunney and Jack Dempsey and showing the controversial blow in the 7th round that lives in controversy to this day. Taken from Soldier Field and close to the action, we see Dempsey standing over Tunney after knocking him to the canvas. One of the clearer and more concise action photos from this bout we have ever seen, this is blank backed but has handwritten notes on the back. There are no stamps or identifications on the original print (The Seidman stamp was added much later) so it is impossible to accurately date the image, but we feel it is from the late 1920's or early 1930's, making it a Vintage 1 under our evaluation system.
