1861 Vintage CDV photograph of President Abraham Lincoln and his son Tad sharing a tender moment. One of the most famous images of the entire Civil War period, this is laced with tragedy as Tad would die young, six years after his father at age 18. A rare original that has a stamp on the back from historian Frederick Meserve that indicates this was off the original Matthew Brady negative (done around the turn of the century). A powerful example of one of the greatest images ever taken!
