c. 1879 Large cabinet photograph of an early baseball team in full uniform and posing at the ballpark. A rarity as each player is captured in full uniform and with some early Spalding bats on display. Each player is identified on the back and as such, researching this image should be fairly easy. The presence of a catchers mask but the absence of a single fielders mitt puts this to about 1879-1882. The condition and quality are both outstanding and the identification on the back really sets this apart from generic early baseball images.
