Famous 1922-23 team photograph of the Almendares club of the Cuban Winter League in uniform. This is the season in which many of the famous baseball cards were made and this team had quite the assemblage of stars. This team boasted Barnardo Baro (2nd from left front row), Edgar LePard (2nd from left middle row), Valentin Dreke (2nd from right back row), Isidro Fabre (back row far right), Oscar Rodriguez (2nd from left back frow), Armando Marsans (center with straw hat) and Wickey McAvoy (front row far right, he was one of the first white players to play in Cuba). A killer image which is one of the greatest early Cuban team photos that exists!
