1930 Photograph from a rare London news service showing Captain Tim Birkin (one the Bentley Boys) driving his Bentley racer through the streets of Belfast during a race. He would lose a wheel and almost his life in the race but fate would track him down three years later when he would indeed die from what can only be described as the weirdest death from racing ever. He burned his arm badly on the exhaust pipe of his car and the wound turned septic causing his death a bit later. Rare item and a really cool image!
