After the 1932 season age was starting to wear on Babe Ruth but he was still dominant force in the game. The question was not whether he could still perform, but for how much longer. He started to take training a bit more seriously and this photo captures him looking to trim down in the gym of Arthur McGovern with his trainer in the background. Likely taken by a local New York photographer named John Tresilian and with a large paper caption on the back, this is a great image from the Keystone View Company that has never been offered before.
