Vintage 1925 photograph of baseball star Babe Ruth as he was still relegated to the hospital as part of his "Bellyache Heard Round the World" scandal that kept him out of the start of the 1925 baseball season. He was up and allowed to be outside for some fresh air for the first time in a month and appeared holding his daughter on the roof of the hospital, surrounded by other patients. A precise and clear image, this was issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. A powerful work of photography from perhaps the lowest moment in Ruth's life, this has some wear from editorial use but otherwise it presents well.
