Lot Description  

Vintage 1928 portrait photo of Ed Walsh Jr. in full uniform for the Chicago White Sox and posing at the ballpark. The son of Hall of Famer Ed Walsh, also a star for the White Sox, Junior would die very young in 1937 well before his famous father. Walsh was spotty at best and only lasted a few years in the major leagues making images of him uniform very rare with this being the best! He is also the man who stopped Joe DiMaggio's 61 game hitting streak in the PCL.
