Beautiful 1928 large photograph of the superstar infielders of the St. Louis Cardinals and taken on the eve of their World Series against the New York Yankees. Clear and bold, the image is among the best of its kind we have seen and pictures three Hall of Famers (Jim Bottomley, Frankie Frisch and Rabbit Maranville) as well as Tom Thevenow and Andy High. A killer piece of baseball memorabilia in pretty nice shape with some wear at the corners, this is from the archives of Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well.
