When Rogers Hornsby signed his contract with the New York Giants in 1927, it was one of the biggest deals in baseball history. It was supposed to lead the Giants back to the World Series, but it didn't really work out. He put up big numbers, but clashed with dictorial manager John McGraw and lasted just one season with the club. The offered image shows the day the deal happened with both Hall of Famers posing after Hornsby signed his contract with the team. Issued by the International Newsreel and in great shape with a full paper caption as well, this grades a perfect 10/10!
