1915 Large photograph of deadball era star Fred Mitchell as he was looking to make a name for himself as a coach or manager to hang around the game a bit longer. He would do well in his role and get a job at manager quickly, securing a spot as the top man for the Chicago Cubs in 1917 and then jumping back to Boston in 1921. He was good at his job, even taking the Cubs to the World Series in 1918, but he was cursed with some really bad teams from 1921-1923 and retired. This is a tremendous image in great shape that also provides a cool look at the Braves jerseys from the era.
