Predating his Zeenut Baseball Card by a full three years, this is an absolutely beautiful 1913 photograph of young Hall of Famer Billy Southworth by arguably the greatest photographer of the era, Louis Van Oeyen. Southworth had played 1 GAME for the Indians in 1913 (almost certainly when this image was actually taken) and would not make the Indians as a regular player until 1915. File dated May 1914, but this is when the newspaper put it in their archives and not when the image was taken which was certainly 1913 (in May 1914 he was playing for the Cleveland Bearcats of the American Association and they had a different uniform). This is an amazing image by an amazing photographer with a deep and bold clarity. The newspaper has added some great artistic enhancements (including Southworth's name on his hat) but otherwise the photo is in great condition with a very bold and early Van Oeyen stamp on the back. The photo comes with a full letter from PSA certifying this as a Type 1 as well. Arguably his greatest image ever offered.
