The 1886 St. Louis Browns were among the most famous teams of the 19th century. Packed with some of the best players of the era, the team was immortalized in the 1887 Old Judge baseball card set with their own portrait series of "Browns Champions" which are highly sought after by collectors today. The offered original letter is on rare Anheuser Busch stationary in 1908 and written from company executive Edward Faust to Hall of Famer Charles Comiskey. The content is exceptional and it talks about a possible reunion of the players on that team and mentions some of the top stars by name, even indicating what some of them were up to at the time, and where they might be located to put the reunion together. The letter is being presented here for the first time ever and despite some condition flaws, it is an incredible piece of 19th century baseball history with exceptional content. From the scrapbook of Charles Comiskey.
