1908 Letter from the Burrell Press Clipping Bureau written to A.G. Spalding and informing him that (at his request) every single obituary for his friend Henry Chadwick had been accumulated from across the country and the details of how they were being mounted and preserved for him. Spalding was a dear friend and the cost of $150 for the book was an enormous sum at the time. The letter was trimmed slightly for mounting in one of Spalding's scrapbooks at the time, but otherwise it presents really well. A great piece of baseball history that is being offered here for the first time ever.
