1973 Sweeping action photograph by Caufield and Shook (the official photographers of the Kentucky Derby) and showing the horses walking the track at Churchill Downs as the iconic race was about to start. Few Derby's have the mystique of this one as "Secretariat" was about to win and become one of the greatest sports stories of all time. The photo has the credit from the photographer on the lower right and it presents well with linen on the back from being in a photo album at one time. Offered here for the first time ever and the iconic horse is clearly seen at left (1A) with jockey wearing checkered jersey!
