1923 Early and highly artistic photograph of the interlocking hand grip of golf superstar Bobby Jones. He was yet to win a major championship when this image was taken, but his grip on the club was attracting attention and this art photo captures it the same way Charles Conlon focused on eyes in 1927, with a flare that was reserved for only the best! Issued by Pacific and Atlantic and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, the photo has a chip on the upper right and some pinholes from editorial use, but the image quality is strong. The photo was slabbed by PSA as a Type 1 but removed to clean editorial marks (not trimmed or enhanced). Arguably the most artistic image of Jones we have ever offered!
