Large c. 1969 artistic profile photograph of Pittsburgh Pirates legendary slugger Roberto Clemente as he posed at the ballpark in uniform. Stamped on the back by Pittsburgh Gazette photographer Harry "Topper" Coughanour and in great shape, this is one of his best images we have ever handled, capturing his profile perfectly, and it comes certified by PSA as a Type 1. The condition and quality are both outstanding. PSA has identified this as a '1970's' example, but the latest it could be from is 1972 and we feel it is a touch earlier, taken just at the end of the 1960's in our opinion.
