1921 Photograph of young actress and free spirit Virginia Rappe issued after she had been found dead in a Hollywood hotel rented by comedian Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle. The result of the incident was the first widely publicized sex scandal in Hollywood history and one that destroyed Arbuckle's career. The image of Rappe is in nice shape (with pinholes from editorial use) and it is one of the few originals we have ever seen, issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
