If you have a minute and want to read something interesting about as trail blazing women in film, entertainment and using sexuality to build a career, read the life of Emilie Marie Bouchaud "Polaire." She had a 16 inch waist, chopped off her hair, wore tiny skirts, and wore heavy eye make-up, all before these latter traits were considered feminine or sexy, and did it all to cheers and jeers while flaunting her sexuality on stage. A beautiful and early studio photograph in nice shape from photographer Bert from Paris and it presents beautifully with some light wear to the corners.
