Large c. 1902 vintage photograph of a ladies basketball game in progress with two teams of players on the court. This is the earliest image of a ladies game in progress that we know of in the world and it provides a great look at how the game was played including tight defense and a very small court and even a referee watching the play. A true piece of American history that is being offered here for the first time ever and despite being a slight restrike from 1915-1920, it was done off the original negative and has about 100 years of age to it!
