1961 Dated photograph of Hall of Famer Frank Tarkenton of the Minnesota Viking and issued a full year before his rookie football card was released. Stamped on the back by the famous Laughead Studios of Texas (they took many of the training camp images), this is one of his earliest images we have ever handled. Photo has a crease down the center but the photo looks better than the technical grade and is one of the earliest and finest images of Tarkenton that exists! It appears hat this photo was part of the same photo-shoot that produced his rookie card (1962 Topps) as his hair, uniform and even hand placement on the football are exact, just from a slightly different angle!
