Dated December 19, 1941 photograph of Duke University captain Bob Barrett and coach Wallace Wade and they posed for photographers after an announcement that their Rose Bowl game would be moved California to North Carolina after the attack on Pearl Harbor (which had just happened 12 days earlier). A poignant reminder at the state of affairs in America at this time, you can almost see the tension in the eyes of these men! The photo was issued by Wide World Photos and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well, this is the only example of this photograph we have ever seen!
