1997 Massive vintage photograph of the trio of Seattle Mariners superstars as they were predicted to be the best team in baseball for the year. Led by Ken Griffey Jr. and slugger Jay Buhner, they were joined by the hottest young player in baseball, Alex Rodriguez. This is a poster sized vintage photograph developed on Kodak paper and from the archives of the Sporting News and identified as the work of photographer Albert Dickson on the back. This is the largest photograph we have ever seen in our twenty years of selling vintage photography and it had to be a presentational piece of possibly one that hung on the walls at the Sporting News before they took it down and sold their archive! The photo was packed poorly when the archive was bought and shipped to Little Rock Arkansas in 2011 or 2012 and suffered some creasing but it is mostly visible only when tilted to the light. At nearly two feet tall, this is a killer display piece that is being offered here for the first time ever!
