1981 Extremely early photograph of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana as he dropped back into the pocket from early in his career. Stamped on the back by photographer Malcolm Emmons, this is his greatest image we have ever handled and it dates to the year his rookie card was released! The photo has minimal handling wear at the corners, otherwise it presents beautifully! There is a note on the back from the Sporting News archive that indicates this was published on the inside back cover of the 1982 Football Register!
