1941 Vintage studio photograph from the Bela Lugosi horror film "Invisible Ghost" and picturing Clarence Muse in his role as the butler. He was the first African American to have a starring role in a Hollywood film (1929 "Hearts in Dixie") and is credited as being one of the most influential early black actors of all time. This is one of the only images of Muse we have ever seen and it comes from an important horror film to boot! The photo has a bit of creasing and wear but overall it presents really well. An important piece of Hollywood history that is being offered here for the first time ever!
