1914 Rare photographed of Rene Thomas posed behind the wheel of his Delage automobile before the start of the Indianapolis 500, a race which he would win! Stamped on the back with the date and with a large paper caption as well, this is one of the earliest images of Thomas we have handled and the first from the year he won the Indy 500! Photo has a couple pinholes from editorial use, but otherwise it presents really well. A true piece of auto racing history.
