Large 1935 action photograph from the Heavyweight fight between Max Baer and Joe Louis at Yankee Stadium. This was Baer's first bout since losing the title to James Braddock and this would be his second loss as Louis knocked him out in the fourth round. Baer would however go on to a nice winning streak of 19 bouts over the next few years. A rare fight to find quality images of, this one is a large and artistic piece that shows Baer on the attack and wearing his famous Star of David trunks! From the Brown Brothers archive and stamped on the back (stamp was done much later than the photo was developed), this is a slight restrike from about the 1950's but it has the look and feel of a 1935 original.
