1925 Large photograph of Heavyweight Champion of the World, Jack Dempsey, as he appeared in the New York Boxing Commission to get his license for his next bout. The paper caption on the back notes that he would probably fight Harry Wills, the black champion, but this would not happen as racism was still too much for America just ten years after Jack Johnson was the champion. A beautiful and poignant image with incredible social overtones, this is from the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
