1927 Exceptional photograph of the Pittsburgh Pirates team in uniform and posing as champions of the National League. They were a stacked group and boasted almost as many Hall of Famers and stars as the Yankees, but they didn't have Babe Ruth! The photo includes Hall of Famers Barney Dreyfuss, Paul Waner, Lloyd Waner, Pie Traynor, Kiki Cuyler, and even a little known rookie named Joe Cronin! This is a famous team and surprisingly, this is a super rare image to locate with this being the only example we have ever offered! From the archives of Underwood and Underwood and with a full paper cation on the back as well. The photo has a corner crease on the upper left (repaired on the back with a tiny piece of tape) but otherwise it is a nice example and displays exceptionally well with precise clarity and quality.
