1923 Statuesque batting photograph of Charles Hollocher of the Chicago Cubs. He was one of the best players of his era, but he was sick and was announcing his retirement from the game. A career .304 hitter, he is an underrated star from a forgotten era and this is one of his best images we have handled. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, the photo has some pinholes from editorial use but otherwise it looks great.
