Vintage 1918 close-up of the batting stance of future Hall of Famer Bobby Veach of the Detroit Tigers. One of the most underrated players of his time, his skill with the bat made this close-up an obvious choice for an unknown photographer from NEA (possibly Louis Van Oeyen) when he undertook this artistic series of baseball hand grips and batting stances. A detailed image in nice shape overall, this could easily be hanging in a museum or gallery under the title "Baseball as Art." This is the only artistic close-up of Bobby Veach's batting stance we have ever seen and it is almost certainly unique, offered here for the first time ever!
